This 2020 VistaSort 5 Chute is a used optical color sorter that has been reconditioned by Vistasort and backed by a one-year warranty. It's one of the newest machines in our used inventory, and it gives a seed or grain plant five chutes of optical sorting for well under the price of a new sorter.
It sorts cereals, edible beans, pulses, oilseeds, specialty crops, and food-grade products. CCD cameras inspect every kernel, and high-speed pneumatic ejectors remove off-color kernels, foreign material, and defects in a single pass.
Our technicians reconditioned, tested, and calibrated the sorter in our Saskatoon shop. Commissioning and training are included, so your crew learns the machine on your own product once it's installed.
Every kernel is inspected and sorted in a fraction of a second, in four stages.
Product drops from the hopper onto a vibratory feeder for each chute, which spreads it into a steady, single layer.
As product slides down the chute, CCD cameras check the color of every kernel against the settings for your crop.
When the cameras flag a defect, a pneumatic ejector fires a short burst of air and knocks it out of the product stream.
Good product continues to the accept outlet. Rejected material drops into a separate reject stream, which can optionally be re-sorted to recover good kernels.
