What Is the LMC Vibratory Conveyor?

The LMC vibratory conveyor is a custom-built conveying system manufactured by LMC — a fourth-generation family company with over 70 years of experience designing and building processing equipment. Every LMC vibratory conveyor is built to fit the customer's specific configuration, size, location, and operational needs.

LMC vibratory conveyors operate on eccentric action, dynamically balanced by a counterweight to reduce unnecessary vibrations and lengthen equipment life. The gentle forward motion moves product through your facility without damaging it — maintaining food safety, product purity, and grade quality at every transfer point in the plant.

Five series are available through Vistasort: the Screening Series, Double Flow, Under Flow, Single Pan, and Reverse Flow — each suited to a different plant layout, capacity requirement, or product handling challenge.

Five LMC Vibratory Conveyor Models

Each series is custom-configured for your specific plant layout, capacity, and product handling requirements. Vistasort carries all five series across Canada.

LMC Screening Series vibratory conveyor — SC Series for seed cleaning and separation, supplied by Vistasort Canada
SC Series

Screening Series

Conveys and screens product simultaneously. Screen combinations can be arranged to perform sifting and scalping on the same machine. Quick-change screens are manufactured in 2-inch sections for fast changeovers. Optional ball tray cleaning system prevents screen blinding during continuous operation.

LMC Double Flow vibratory conveyor — DF Series for seed and grain processing, supplied by Vistasort Canada
DF Series

Double Flow

Handles two product streams simultaneously in a single conveyor frame. Partitions separate product lanes with lane-specific discharges — ideal for operations running multiple commodities or fractions at the same time without cross-contamination between streams.

LMC Under Flow vibratory conveyor — US Series for seed and grain transfer under bins and equipment, supplied by Vistasort Canada
US Series

Under Flow

Designed for installation in tight spaces and low-clearance environments — including under bins, hoppers, and floor-level transfers. The low-profile frame fits where standard conveyors cannot. Bolted construction simplifies installation and removal in confined spaces.

LMC Single Pan vibratory conveyor — SP Series for seed and grain handling, supplied by Vistasort Canada
SP Series

Single Pan

The standard workhorse of the LMC vibratory conveyor lineup. A single-pan conveyor built for straightforward product transfer between machines and processing stages. Available with a wide range of discharge configurations, base leg heights, and optional screening or piggy-back pan attachments.

LMC Reverse Flow vibratory conveyor — RF Series for seed and grain processing, supplied by Vistasort Canada
RF Series

Reverse Flow

Product enters at the center and flows outward in both directions simultaneously — discharging from both ends of the conveyor. Designed for operations where product must be distributed in two directions from a single infeed point, reducing the need for additional conveyors or transfer equipment.

How the LMC Vibratory Conveyor Works

The LMC vibratory conveyor uses a counterbalanced eccentric drive to gently and consistently move product through your facility. The same eccentric motion that conveys product can also be used to perform screening separations — making these machines dual-purpose assets in any seed or grain plant.

1

Eccentric Drive Motion

The conveyor operates on eccentric action — a rotating counterweight creates forward motion in the pan. This gentle, consistent motion moves product down the pan without impact, tumbling, or free-fall, preserving seed integrity and product purity throughout the transfer.

2

Counterbalanced for Stability

All LMC vibratory conveyors are counterbalanced to minimize vibration transferred to the supporting structure. This extends the life of both the conveyor and the surrounding equipment, and eliminates the need for heavy isolation mounts or reinforced support frames.

3

Screening (SC Series)

On the Screening Series, the forward eccentric motion tumbles product and presents it to the screen surface. Undersized product falls through the perforations for a uniform separation — whether scalping oversized material or sifting fines — while good product rides the pan to discharge.

4

Custom Discharge Configuration

Each machine is custom designed to include a spouting configuration that matches your facility. Size, location, and orientation of discharge spouts are specified at time of order — whether single discharge, multiple intermediate discharges, manual gates, or pneumatic discharge control.

Standard Features & Build Quality

Every LMC vibratory conveyor is built to the same heavy-duty construction standard — then custom-configured for your specific operation.

🏗️

Heavy Duty Steel Frame

Mechanical steel tubing provides a strong, rigid frame built for continuous operation in demanding seed and grain environments. The simplicity of the design means fewer moving parts, fewer failure points, and lower long-term maintenance costs.

⚖️

Counterbalanced Drive

All LMC vibratory conveyors are counterbalanced — except the MD medium-duty series — to minimize vibration transferred to the supporting structure. This extends machine life and protects surrounding equipment from unnecessary stress.

🧹

Sanitary Construction

The conveyor pan is constructed using stainless steel components as standard. Mild steel contact surfaces are also available. The design eliminates pinch points and other safety hazards, while the minimal moving parts make the machine easy to clean between commodity changes.

🔧

Quick-Change Screens

Screens on the Screening Series are manufactured in 2-inch sections for easy exchange. Multiple screen combinations can be arranged to perform sifting and scalping on the same machine — adapting to different crops without replacing the entire conveyor.

📐

Custom Discharge Spouts

Each machine is custom designed with a spouting configuration matching your facility. Size, location, and orientation of spouts are all specified to order — eliminating the need for field modifications or makeshift transfers after installation.

🛡️

OSHA Safety Guards

OSHA compliant safety guards are standard on all LMC vibratory conveyors. The minimal moving parts design further reduces pinch points and operator hazards compared to belt or chain-based conveying systems.

Optional Features & Configurations

LMC vibratory conveyors can be configured with a wide range of options at time of order. All options are orderable through Vistasort.
