The LMC Advent Cleaner is an industrial-grade precision cleaner that runs product through the aspirator before the screens — delivering separation accuracy conventional cleaners can't match. All-metal construction, food-quality sanitation standards, available in 4 to 7-foot widths. Supplied and supported across Canada by Vistasort.
The LMC Advent Cleaner is an industrial air and screen cleaner manufactured by LMC — built to food quality construction standards for seed producers and grain processors who need precise separation with minimum dockage.
What sets the Advent apart is its aspirator-first design. Product passes through the aspirator before it reaches the screens — not after. This removes light contaminants early in the process, so the screens only have to deal with sized separations. The result is cleaner product, more accurate counts, and a continuous flow that conventional air screen cleaners can't replicate.
Advents are manufactured in widths of 4, 5, 6, and 7 feet, with decks up to 20 feet long. Width is sized for capacity; length is sized for precision. All-metal construction with no wood components means thorough cleanout between varieties — critical for seed operations continuously changing crop types.

The Advent processes product through five stages in a single continuous pass — feeding, aspiration, screening, ball tray cleaning, and discharge. Each stage is designed to maximize separation accuracy with minimum product loss.
Product enters through a variable speed roll feeder that controls flow to the intake aspirator. The roll feeder allows the operator to easily and accurately adjust the feed rate for each product and situation — ensuring a consistent, even product stream before aspiration begins.
The product passes through the aspirator before reaching the screens. The extended air column creates a streamlined flow vacuum drawn through the product. Light contaminants, dust, and chaff are pulled out and discharged through an airlock — leaving only the sized product to reach the screens. This is the Advent's core advantage over conventional designs.
Liftings from the aspirator go to an expansion chamber where the reject product drops out of the air stream. The liftings are discharged for inspection, and if needed, the air stream can be adjusted without stopping the machine — giving the operator real-time control over separation aggressiveness.
Clean product from the aspirator is gently lowered onto the top screen deck. The first screening removes the smallest reject particles (sifting). Product then rides to the scalping area — a draper curtain prevents sticks, pods, or oversized particles from standing on end and passing through. The lower deck precisely grades the product to any particular count, with multiple discharge options available.
Throughout operation, 2-inch rubber balls on LMC's welded round-rod trays continuously prevent screen blinding. The round-rod design was developed by LMC because woven ball racks don't deliver the aggressive, random action needed to keep screens clear. The result is consistent throughput across all decks without operator intervention.

Built to food quality standards for continuous commercial operation — with full operator visibility and control at every stage of the cleaning process.
The aspirator runs before the screens — not after. Light contaminants are removed by air before sizing begins, so screens handle only what they're designed to handle. The result is unmatched screening accuracy compared to conventional cleaners that use bottom blast fans.
Fully counterbalanced, all-metal frame with no wood components. Metal construction eliminates the need for wood to absorb vibrations — providing years of around-the-clock service with minimum attention. Counterbalancing also reduces stress on the supporting structure.
Finishes and contact surfaces meet the rigid requirements for proper sanitation. Clean out is fast and thorough — critical for processors who are continuously changing between varieties and seed types. The open construction design allows the operator to see and monitor the cleaning balls, screens, and product flow at all times.
LMC developed their own ball tray system using round rods after finding that woven ball racks used by other manufacturers didn't provide aggressive enough random action. The welded round-rod design imparts the correct motion to the 2-inch rubber balls — preventing screen blinding throughout continuous operation.
The product is fed using a variable speed roll feeder controlling the flow to the intake aspirator. The operator can easily and accurately adjust the feed rate to fit each individual product and situation — maintaining consistent product depth across the full width of the screen decks.
Liftings from the aspirator go to an expansion chamber for inspection. If adjustment to the air stream is needed, it can be made without stopping the machine. This gives operators real-time feedback and control over how aggressively the aspirator is separating — preventing good product from ending up in the liftings.
The Advent is significantly wider than conventional cleaners. Wider decks provide the required product spread so siftings can find the screen rather than riding on top of heavier product. This is the fundamental reason why wider machines clean with greater precision at higher throughput rates.
A draper curtain is used over the scalping screens to prevent sticks, pods, or oversized particles from standing on end and passing through with the good product. This feature is especially important for pulse crops where pod fragments and stems can otherwise contaminate the cleaned fraction.
All screens are mounted on 24-inch wide tubular steel frames that are easily handled. Screens can be swapped in less than 20 minutes — reducing downtime during crop changeovers and making it practical to run multiple commodities through the same machine in a single shift.
The Advent's configurable deck widths, lengths, and screen configurations make it suitable for a wide range of seed and grain commodities across Western Canada.
Wheat, barley, oats, and rye — the Advent's aspirator-first design excels at removing chaff, broken kernels, and lightweight material from cereal grains without dockage to the clean fraction.
Peas, lentils, chickpeas, and soybeans — the draper curtain and wide deck design handle the pod fragments, sticks, and irregular-shaped contaminants common in pulse cleaning.
Canola, flax, and sunflower — the precision air separation and multiple screen deck options allow accurate sizing and aspiration for small, high-value oilseed crops with low dockage tolerances.
Built to food quality construction and sanitation standards, the Advent is suited to certified seed production and food-grade grain processing where cleanliness, variety purity, and accurate counts are required.

Vistasort has been supplying and supporting seed cleaning and grain processing equipment across Canada for over 40 years. We understand what each machine needs to do in a Canadian operation — and how to size it right for your crop and capacity.
Vistasort operates out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan — the heart of Canadian grain country. Parts, service, and application support are available without routing through a US distributor. We speak the same language as your operation.
Vistasort is an authorized dealer for LMC equipment in Canada. The LMC Advent Cleaner is one of several LMC machines we supply, giving us deep familiarity with the full LMC product line and how each model performs in Canadian conditions.
The LMC Advent Cleaner comes in four widths and multiple lengths. Selecting the wrong size costs you either capacity or precision. Vistasort works through your throughput requirements, crop types, and separation targets before recommending a configuration — so you buy what you actually need.
